For a Good Cause

Right before Easter our friend Lucy had eye surgery to remove a tumor. She's doing fine so far and the doctors aren't sure if she's going to be able to use that eye again. In the mean time she's being a real trooper, and even organizing a Fundraiser Artshow using Eye Patches as the subject. Proceeds from the show/s will go to fund Ocular Melanoma Research.

We decided as a family it's a good cause and to participate by letting Kaeley make the patches. So we went to Walmart and for $1.99 each we got two patches. and some finger paint. And kaeley got to let her creativity shine.

The Patch on the left is entitled Tropical Fever, with oranges, yellows reds and blues. The patch on the right is entitled Peacock Feather in purples, reds, greens and blues. Crayola Finger Paint is maybe the best invention, next to soap.

First Easter

Easter was a long day for little Kaeley, first we got up and had breakfast, then delt with mommy and daddy while they rushed around getting everything ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa Reinhart's house.

We had brunch in Port St Lucie, mmm sausage junk and Auntie Lindsay made really awesome waffles with her new waffle iron, talk about a good easter present =D Kaeley got a Fuzzy Bunnie, two really neat terry cloth bibbies and some pretty purple outfits from grandma. Aunt Lindsay played High Chair so Kaeley could have her Squash for lunch, thank you lindsay =D

Then it was off to Grandma Debbie's and Grandpa Richard's house for dinner, when we got there Annissah and Amarah were there, it was nice for Kaeley to be around another baby for a while, she doesn't get that too often. The boys hung out with Grandpa on the porch while he grilled and the girls hung out in the living room with Grandma while she cooked the rest of dinner, mmm Shish-kabobs. Though Grandpa did wander in a few times to give the girls a hard time and dance with Kaeley.

Mommy bought Kaeley's easter basket and left it to Grandma Deb to fill, but also bought alot of stuff to put in it, And Auntie Gail and Uncle Jeremy bought Kaeley a Stuffed Peep toy, shaped like a purple bunny peep to play with, she loves it.

All in all our first easter was a fun, if not long, day. We got to split the time as best we could between our families and got stuffed full of really good food. Next year, the Easter Egg Hunts begin =D

Kaeley went swimming in the pool today for the very first time! she did so well, she kicked and splashed and even smiled a little. The water wasn't too bad and even DADDY came with us! >shock<

We were there about an hour and spent about 20 minutes of that in our new floaty, she liked being in the water with mommy and daddy much better. Next time i promise i'll take pictures. I just had to share how well she did!

and it wore her out so much she fell asleep 45 minutes early...will have to remember this for when she's older..yesyes

Here We Go!

So I've never really been good at this whole "blog" thing. But this is pretty much a place to be all about Kaeley. Which i can do, because i love talking about her! I think we make my friends sick...oh well.

Kaeley is 6 months old as of April 11th. We put together her walkers about two weeks ago and she just LOVES them. (thank you grandmas...)The one from Grandma Pam has alot of noisy toys, we also discovered the mirror on the Piglet Flower, and kaeley tries to water it (drools alllll over it).

Another 6 Month Milestone is that she's eating alot more solid food. sorry doc, we started before 6 months. She's such a good eater. Her favorites are Carrots, Butternut Squash, and Applesauce. Her least favorites are Peaches, Sweet Potatoes and Jarred Chicken. We put together our High Chair from Auntie Terry two days ago, and it's made feedings SO much easier.

Next, we put together the Johnny Jump Up! another toy she just loves to play in. She likes to stand so anything that allows her to do so is a good thing. A Johnny Jump up is basically a swing that hangs from the Doorframe. You can adjust the height to be closer to the floor for her to stand, or higher like a swing. She pretty much just loves it either way...

And for the First time Anywhere, Previews of Kae's Easter/6 Month Photo Shoot!
